I had another day on the road. It was 88º (F) when I left, at about 1:30. The weather app showed my destination in Massachusetts was 57º. It had warmed up to the upper 60s when I got there, about 6:00. We were both supposed to get heavy pop-up showers, but I must have driven in between them. Beautiful sunset clouds on the drive home, though.

I'm not sure what the high was for the day, but yesterday the highest temp I saw was 89°. Today it was that hot in the shade of the gazebo.

On the one hand, it was hot but very comfortable -- temps in the 80s but the humidity was wonderfully low! On the other hand, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the sun was intense. I made the mistake of sitting on the back deck in a pair of black jeans. I shifted position and crossed my right leg over my left -- and the hot fabric burned my knee!

No but there are plenty of places around to get water if needed. Gas stations, fast food, grocery stores all over the place.

Not trying to mother you, but if you will be more than 30 minutes and I would prefer 15 minutes in the car at any one time stop and grab a bottle of water before you need it.
Just take small sips occasionally and stay hydrated. Do not wait until you feel thirsty.
You get thirsty especially in the summer because you are dehydrating.
Oh and the high humidity actually makes it worse.
