I just checked the temperature. It's currently 87° and could go as high as 83.

It's summer! Hot! Sick making! [I haven't acclimated to working outside yet].

We have a Carolina wren nest in one of our geranium pots on the deck - trying to water the plant is a bit challenging. I think there are eggs in it ... and the mom bird doesn't want to leave it.

I don't know about sick making, but at the moment I have a temperature of 101°. I don't think it's the weather, but babysitting for my 2 year old grandson who spent most of his waking moments last week coughing in my face.

As hot as yesterday and just a trifle more humid. The sun was blinding.

We're due to get thunderstorms tonight and most of tomorrow. Tomorrow I make a round trip to New England. It's usually about 8 hours, but with the end of the holiday traffic through NJ and on the NY Thruway I expect it to be longer and slower. Thunderstorms will just add to the fun.
