To stay with the story line. For those who aren't yet in the know, Stephen King wrote a short story entitled "UR" in which the protagonist mistakenly receives a pink Kindle instead of the stock model he ordered. And once again, the chart is not a piece of crap. It was but together by a lot of people with a lot of experience with the Discworld. You may disagree with the chart, but calling it names doesn't help your premise. There are a lot of people who can and do read the series using the chart as a guide. You can, in fact, read and enjoy the books without your obsessive need to read in publishing order.

And a very worth-while purchase it was. A splendid re-boot of "Little Fuzzy" and "Fuzzy Sapiens". I finished it off almost in one sitting, and moved on to F&SF July/August 2012. Which was a pretty good read, although more fantasy than science fiction this month.

I'm not sure what I'll read next - I have rather a large selection to choose from!

It's not obsessive. I've read enough of the series to know that reading using the chart is a very good way to spoil the series. Discworld was written to be read in published order, not in some order created by people who don't give a rat's *** about spoiling the series for others. The chart is only good for people who have already read the series and are on a reread.

A fun series of murder mysteries. Another enjoyable mystery with Gideon Oliver, the "Bone Detective".


Next up: Five Little Pigs by Agatha Christie

Since this is the next one on my list of her books to read (her 41st) and I just noticed it on some 'top ten' list of her novels, let's continue with detective stories and see how this one holds up to the previous 40!

I do recommend her non-fiction book, "Come, Tell Me How You Live: An Archaeological Memoir", which describes her travels and adventures with her archaeologist husband, Sir Max Mallowan. It's not available as an e-book, unfortunately - I bought a 2nd-hand paper copy from Amazon.
