Dear friends,
How can I make in an kepub the linehight set to 1.2 in the css for a Kobo Glo HD ? I think by adding/modify the .css but I don't know exactly how. I found the option to modify the .css in the preferences, but how to do it ? I think the code must be: Code:
body {line-height: 1.2 !important; widows: 1; orphans: 1;} (Maybe someone could help with a screenshot ? ) Any help would be very much appreciated ! I could do this by letting calibre do a conversion, but I rather would not do that if it can be done by simply adding a line to the kepub. Last edited by Nick_1964; 08-07-2015 at 11:06 AM. |

The CSS you have should work. If you follow the directions at https://github.com/jgoguen/calibre-k...-arbitrary-css you can see how to have the extended driver automatically add the CSS file to your reader. I have no idea how well that translates to Dutch though.

Thank you ! |

Hello,
I use Kobo Touch Extended Driver to transfer my book on my Kobo Aura H2O but it replace some characters ( like ' ) by an underscore. Do you know how force the driver to not replace that type of characters ? Thank you. |

While the translation works ( https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...postcount=1353 ) nothing is send to the reader's css to modify it.
The css it at the right place, right named, but not send to the device ![]() /edit sorry for some reason a backup was in place with 2.3.3 on it,that doesn't recognise the Glo HD, after updating, it works. Last edited by Nick_1964; 08-08-2015 at 07:33 AM. |

That's something that calibre does. It is trying to make sure that the filenames used won't cause any problems.

Book content shouldn't happen and I don't have any code that would. File names must happen, because some characters are semi-illegal on NTFS and FAT file systems. |

First of all thanks for reply.
In fact i ask only for the apostrophe, because the replacement happened only with the extended driver, if the base driver if used the file name keep the apostrophe. Thanks. |

Again - do you mean replacements are happening in the file name sent to the device out in the content of the book?
What version of calibre are you using? What version of the extended driver is installed? What operating system and OS version are you using? |

So in OS X, the replaced characters won't cause you problems - OS X, like most UNIXes, doesn't assign special meaning to characters in file names. If you are using Windows instead, you would find files with certain characters incredibly difficult to create in the first place, and even harder to work with if you do manage to create them. The reason is that Windows declares certain characters as forbidden in file names and, instead of writing NTFS to forbid them, assumes that you never create them in the first place.
For myself, it was simpler to just write the driver to replace all the characters all the time. As for why it's not in the base driver or in calibre, that's probably because it hasn't come up outside this crowd or no one's reported it to Kovid. Is there a reason you need the characters to not be replaced? |

Thanks for the reply.
In fact the only reason is purely cosmetic: when I go into the file manager I prefer to see the file names with apostrophes than underscores. Thank you ^^ |
