$20 off on an Aura H2O, just for today from Chapters. I'd been lurking, just waiting for something to push me into replacing my failing first gen Kobo Glo. This has done it. It is only for today, July 20th, though. Something new, of a technology angle, will be on sale tomorrow, or so it looks to me.

I have multiple KOBO accounts. I have an account for romance books and a different one for professional books. My husband and 2 children each have their own accounts.

Can I do the VISA check promo out in each of these accounts with the same credit card?

I've done it before a few times with the same card (I think it was a $5 credit or smth like that), but I can't vouch for this one. You can certainly try and find out.

Tried to do the new Visa Checkout so I could get the $10 credit. But because I already have a giftcard balance, kept getting the message "Your purchase is covered — thanks! You don't need to enter your payment information at this time."

So, after the credit in my account showed up in a day or so, the credit in my husband's account took a week to show up. Gotta wonder what sort of system they are using to process these! Anyway, it DID eventually show up...

So, it somehow seems to be connected to having to cycle through twice - maybe once to get logged in to Visa Checkout, and then a second time, so Kobo picks up the info and gets it into their system. Perhaps this only happens if you have a pre-existing Visa Checkout account, but in any case, this method has now worked twice, at least for the purchase of the book, in two different Kobo accounts, with two different Visa Checkout accounts.

My fingers are now crossed that my husband also gets the credit in his account - and I'll get to spend it

And karma to Purple Lady for the "do it twice" suggestion!
