Today we had a nice preview of mid-May. Temps reached the low 60s with just a light breeze and not a single cloud in the sky. I was on the deck reading until sunset -- no coat, just a Thinsulate thermal vest over my shirt. While I was there a hawk screamed, flew low over my head, and body slammed another hawk off a branch in my wooded back yard.

I wouldn't mind a few more days like this.

Summer preview here too - temps in the 60's F, light breeze, but cloudy all day. Same for tomorrow, and until Wednesday or so, when cold rains return.

Great day. Took Norton for a walk. The grass was a bit spongy, but the sidewalks were mostly dry. Temps hovered around 60°.

It's cooling down, however briefly! 29 today, and a cool 25 tomorrow wiht a possible shower or two. Water may fall from the sky! (Back up to 37 by the end of the week, so I'll abandon any outdoor weekend plans.)

Not sure how warm it is here (Madrid, Spain), but it was warm enough to sit outside to eat lunch.

Which is a very nice and unusual experience for a Brit in February.

Warm with showers .... tornadoes on Wednesday? Winter in the Carolinas .....

[Disclaimer: I take full blame for this aberrant weather -- after the last 2 winters with bone-chilling temps, snow & ice -- I extensively prepared for this year's winter -- inside & outside the house ... so of course it was in the 70's F in February]

Our temps today reached the mid-50s (F) with a light breeze, and it was mostly sunny. I was very comfortable sitting on the back deck reading in the sun. Some clouds moved in around 4 o’clock and it suddenly felt chilly, even though the air temperature probably didn't change.

We're due for snow tomorrow and heavy rains on Wednesday. According to last night's weather report we've had three "sunny" days in February. I wouldn't mind more seasonable temperatures if we could get more sun. (And not get a full winter's worth of snow on one weekend.)
