Checking In:
I am still reading The Baby and The Bodyguard. I didn't buy any books although I looked at a few. I have been playing with my Nokia Lumia 520 which is a great little device for $20. It makes a great PIM and plays music really well without headphones the sound is better than my Fire Phone. I bought a LG Volt which should be here tomorrow. I plan to use it as media device which had been my original intention with the Fire Phone but I use that are my phone so battery life is precious. I also bought a case for each device and 4 device stands. Oh and a new 3 Mode Programmable Crockpot. I am really struggling trying to enjoy the rest of the holiday season. It's been really tough. I am not sleeping well. One moment I feel okay and think it will be a better day but then something will remind me of that precious little angel and I am pulled right back into the funk. The mobile command center is now gone but last I checked the tape around the dumpster is still there. We are able to use another dumpster which is good trash was getting stinking. I am on pins and needles waiting to see if the body they pulled from Beaver Dam Lake is little Tristan. Neighbor said on the news she saw Tristan at the local market on December 19th. There is such a sadness all over the complex and reporters are still coming and going and now interviewing anyone they can. I wish I never moved here. |

Blossom those people that hurt that little angel will get theirs.
I have spent the last 4 hours trying to upgrade Moon+ Pro. I was almost ready to ship my fire to someone else (cough: Blossom) to get the new version of Moon+. I use Moon for all my reading. This is another reading I was thinking about sending to someone else (cough: Blossom). A sweet wonderful person here recommend this and I love it. I can change the background color and font size and it is easier reading for me. Amazon changed a lot of stuff in an update and now I have to charge my Fire daily. I only use it for reading no movies, no surfing the net nothing but reading. Talked to support last night and they did not seem to be a problem for them. WiFi is never on unless I am syncing from Calibre with CC. Screen brightness is at 50%. Something is wrong but Amazon does not want to fix the problem. They offered me a $10 credit to purchase a new Fire. Yeah Right. I was not nice when they stated that. My credit card was used fraudulently the week before Christmas so no purchases for me. Messed up to because I saw a few books on sale that I wanted. No I was not finished Christmas shopping. Several people ending up getting gift cards that I could purchase using Paypal. Now if my card would hurry up and get here. |

Blossom it did not fix my problem. I just had to reload everything. Then I could not figure out how to turn on the debugging mode.
That was something else changed with the update. It is not easy to find. Don't ask me how I found it I could not find it again to save my life. |

That second update they pushed to my HD6 that they misnumbered/misnamed that I thought I already had (got all that?) has definitely affected the battery. I didn't notice much in the way of battery drainage before this last update.

My little HD6 was fully charged when I went to bed last night and down to 76% this morning, WiFi still on. Maybe I'll try tonight, and turn the WiFi off and see what it is in the a.m.

Before I did a factory reset GSAM told me Kindle app was causing all the drainage. It was 92% of battery drain. I think it got corrupted.

I know blossom. I am thinking about getting a tablet that I can jailbreak (or what ever it is suppose to be) and using that so I can install the update only when I want it.
If you re looking for the debugging mode I had to install Mobogenie directly from their site and it will all the debugging mode to be turned on. I use SnapPea to transfer files/apps to my Kindle. I honestly do not know why Amazon has done this. I wish there was a way to break/hack the Amazon extra stuff from the Fire. I admit I love my fire but Amazon is getting to controlling like Google. Anyway Blossom what is a PIM? |

I'm not sure why you need debugging mode? ![]() PIM = Personal Information Management. It's basically a Day-Timer |

I needed debugging mode on to sideload the Moon+ app using SnapPea. I do not know how else to install an app that Amazon will not let me directly download to the Fire.
The pro version of Moon is not compatible according to Amazon and I do not like the free version with all the ads. |

The Pro version is completely compatible. Amazon just doesn't like competition. Just install the Amazon app store on your non Fire Android Device and log into the same account that has your Fire register. Install Moon+ on the device then use ES File Explorer to send it to the Kindle Fire to install. |

I had 3rd party apps on but SnapPea told me I needed to turn on Debugging Mode. That must be something Amazon turned off or changed with the latest update.

SnapPea is similar to ES File Explorer. It was recommended to my when I originally tried to install Moon+ Pro.
