Yup, I haven't received an e-mail either. I thought it was strange that it would take so long to send 'em out. The customer service rep said there were "so many." Geez, it's e-mail. God knows how they run their business. When you call, they say they'll try to get back to you in 24 hours if you e-mail. Seems slow to me.

Now, now. Don't be bashing eBay sellers. Everybody has to make a buck to earn a living. I'm an eBay seller and thought about doing the same thing, although not 20 of them but maybe 2 of each color. I just didn't want to put out the $400 for them. You gotta do what you gotta do and as long as it doesn't involve stealing or killing or hurting someone, what the heck. I see mistakes at stores a lot. If I know it's something that'll sell. I'm buying it to resell. Why not? They get my money and I get a few dollars more for my pocket and somebody gets a decent product. I don't think they cancelled them or will be cancelling them because of one person buying 20. It's the lump sum total of all the purchases and how much they'd lose because of it. If only a few people bought before they caught the error they'd probably take their lumps but if 1000's were sold, no way they'd eat that loss. |

I just got mine, too. Maybe they had to run the gift card offer through execs, so that's what took so long. I wasn't expecting a gift card. Geez, that's gotta cost 'em with so many ordered.

What pisses me off is this line on their customer service page:
7. The last step to placing your order is confirming the information contained on the Order Summary page. You may edit the shipping and payment information or cancel the order. Click on "Order Now" to place the order. Please note that once an order is placed Borders is unable to cancel or modify it in any way. Talked to the CSR people, and she says "we normally don't have access to cancel orders, but we made a special request through the supplier to get them canceled." Now to see how long it will take them to give me my money back. |
