Most of these series are available over the Internet if you are interested in seeing them again. Some of the older ones, such as 'Bonanza,' 'Mission Impossible,' 'Science Fiction Theater,' 'M Squad,' etc., are nice to see again after 40+ years!

Daria! The complete series is finally being released on DVD in May. I've been using the old, shitty, low-quality RealMedia encoded rips for years. I'll probably keep them because MTV has to replace some (perhaps a lot) of the music on the DVDs due to licensing restrictions. Super lame.

Ooh Yes! 'The Tripods' was a BBC series that was supposed to cover the entire trilogy of novels by John Christopher - fantastic books - but Michael Grade, the BBC controller, knocked it on the head before it finished.

That show doesn't really belong on this list. The spin-offs will stay on the air. And besides, that show was 20 years old.

I wish that show had lasted long enough to add a main characters who was younger than the show.

I've been waiting for Alias to come back to syndication for a while now. About 2 years ago a local station put on a full season of it before replacing it. I assumed it would come back some way or another. For all my complaints about Alias' haphazard writing, it's still good TV. But I finally bit the bullet and started bargain hunting for the DVDs. Got Seasons 1 and 3 for $10 each. I'm angling for good prices on the rest.

And here I was having a decent day. I kind of think they have some leftover episodes they've yet to show. *crosses fingers* If not, at least the lead has a pilot he's signed up for. Hopefully that will be decent.

It's been a rough few years for comedy. The Office stopped being funny a while ago. Parks and Rec is more like The Office today than The Office of 4 or 5 years ago -- I wouldn't have minded some recycling if they'd recycled the funny. Community seemed like it had potential, but halfway through the first season it already feels long in the tooth. 2 and 1/2 men doesn't even belong in a comedy discussion. Better Off Ted was really a lot of laughs, and yeah, I agree, I'm amazed it hung around as long as it did. Modern Family (which Ted would have led in to well) is about the only bright spot.

I actually rewatch Arrested Development quite often. Every now and then I still spot some tiny joke I hadn't noticed before. And even its worst season (3) is more enjoyable as reruns than anything new today.

IMO, Community is the best comedy on the air today. And last week's episode was one of the best half-hours of TV evah.
