I'm aware of a bug in 2.0.1 : the cover thumbnails are missing from the HTML catalogs (but are present in the OPDS files).
This will be corrected in the next release... |

Maybe I have not noticed in the thread any info but now with new version there are no covers in Aldiko and on my PC. And what are new features you mentioned. I cannot see anything new.
![]() Great work anyway. |

SnakeMM... about the covers ...read the posting right above yours...
As for the new features, I have noticed them in mine and apart from the thumbnails in the HTML (they are there in Stanza) which David said he will fix next release, I think it's getting better and better each release |

Snake: after re-reading your post and my answer I just noticed that you said that covers were missing on both your PC and Aldiko ; did you try the latest (2.0.2) release ?
I realized that you were the one who first reported that thumbnails were not working on Aldiko. I have corrected an error in the XML element name used for covers in OPDS catalogs, and since Aldiko is the only program using these (Stanza uses its own personal elements) I had no way to test it. So I need you ![]() |

Ok I checked this on version 2.0.1. Now checking ver 2.0.2 and it seems that on PC covers are ok but in Aldiko they are still missing.
Maybe this is related to Aldiko not to your program? Last edited by SnakeMM; 03-11-2010 at 07:54 AM. |

Holy crap on a cracker ! - yes I watch "The big bang theory"
![]() I'll try and contact the Aldiko developers with this to see if they can help. Unfortunately I don't have a google phone, so I can't try Aldiko myself - donations accepted ![]() I'll let you know ! |

I've been in contact with Minh, the extra-cool developer behind Aldiko, and he said that the problem probably comes from his side.
So, you'll have to wait for an Aldiko update to see covers ![]() |

I found that if I used the .cmd file as a normal user then it started OK - but you had potential permission problems with the location of the install folder. If I started the .cmd file with admin privileges then the installer failed to run. Have not yet looked further to see if there a workaround for this.
I have at the moment simply reset the security on the Calibre2opds install folder to give ordinary users full control. With that done I can install either via the .cmd file or the .jar file. |

Would love to try out the app, but when I launch it on my mac, I am unable to re-size the window and the bottom goes off the screen so I can't do anything...
Any ideas??? |
