When I run sysctl from the command line it's there, Here's the syntax/help it's providing me:
Code:
$ sysctl usage: sysctl [-bn] variable ... sysctl [-bn] -w variable=value ... sysctl [-bn] -a sysctl [-bn] -A sysctl [-bn] -X |

Also seeing the 'Click to browse by tags' issue, though it doesn't crash OS X, just puts a never ending stream of errors. I see QT errors all over the GUI though, but most I can click through to get the GUI back.
Also seeing an issue with Lit -> epub conversion. Instead of using the metadata and cover specificied in the database it uses the information that's hardcoded in the lit file. Lastly, a feature request. I'd really like to have uncompressed OEB as an output format in the GUI. This makes it easier to edit the HTML converted output for chapter detection, etc before I convert to the final target output. The command line already allows this, but it seems like the GUI precludes it. |

The GUI is designed around the concept of files, it doesn't handle ebooks as folders which makes uncompressed OEB output a little too painful to implement in the GUI. As for the sysctl, it's a path issue, what does
ls -l `which sysctl` give you? Can you opena ticket and attach a lit file that shows this behavior? @Colavaere: you're bugs will be fixed in the next beta |

I need the output of running
calibre-debug -d with the Kindle DX connected to Windows, OS X and Linux computers to add support for it to calibre. However, there is already a conversion profile with settings for the Kindle DX, so you can produce books optimized for the DX with b3 |

OK, if uncompressed OEB is out then compressed would be ok (uncompressed was just a minor convenience). The main reason I'm asking is that when I just converted a lit file to epub I got a bunch of arbitrary file splits (which I believe were done during OEB->Epub conversion). If I could have gone in and massaged the html after Lit->OEB I could have marked the chapters, that way the final splits would have then been on chapter markers, which is more sensible. It's also easier to edit and search across one complete html file than many little ones at that stage.
Regarding sysctl location, here's the info: Code:
$ which sysctl /usr/sbin/sysctl $ ls -l /usr/sbin/sysctl -r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 63824 Oct 28 2008 /usr/sbin/sysctl I'll open a bug for the lit file with that behavior. Last edited by ldolse; 06-11-2009 at 03:19 AM. |

There's a conversion option to disable file splitting.

Was looking forward to new version which would communicate with my UK 505.
Alas I get lots (tens) of errors with library operations like removing books, loading books, and even more when converting books. Error message is same as described by Colavaere. Also the app hangs when I click the "Preferences" button. I have to close it after Vista's "not rersponding" msg. |

No, I was hoping there was an ignored error (they are printed to the terminal) that would help me diagnose this issue. Unforunately, since I can't reproduce it, I'm not sure what else to do.

Got an error yesterday after setting some custom conversion settings in the "Configure calibre"
The error I'm getting is listed below. I didn't do anything special just set the default conversion attributes for the different formats. Once I closed the dialog box I got this message, and now I get this message every time I try open the dialog box. Also the move to options are enabled they are all greyed out =X= Code:
