My mind reeled as I watched my bowling pal, Prometheus, playing with fire with the hoomins on New Year's eve -- wasn't it just a month ago that we were helping Sisyphus with his weekend landscaping project that has since turned into a bit of a chore?

The presents that were being passed out at the Christmas lunch of the Picayune Pessismists Glee Club were totally outrageous -- I have never begun a novel with more misgiving.

Buster and I barely made it to the docks as we desperately tried to escape the Menace of The Encroaching Fruity Vines that doggedly (ha!) chased after us but, lo!, all of the doors to the yachts were locked tight and so we acquired bludgeons with which to open them -- so we beat on boats against the currant.
