I first read that as describing someone was a a nerd for werewolf books, rather than a book nerd who was also a werewolf - equally offputting, either way. Ambiguity, the devil's volleyball.

The author Laura Bickle wrote a couple of books about Amish folk fighting vampires. It was a weird mix, but I found them oddly entertaining, and not at all the type of books I normally read.

How about adding book descriptions to the title? Stuff like:

Wuthering Heights: A slow burn friends to lovers romance with a shocking twist!

I know these are authors (or publishers) trying to game the system and I hate it.

I see a lot of attempts to put Blurb in title now!

Wut! They didn't put "If you like Bridgeton you'll love this"!

That's so 18th Century, as is "Or <some long phrase>". Maybe those Alternate titles are when author and publisher didn't agree.

Or Series stuff so broken on Amazon & Kindle that people are putting the full series name and "Book n" in the book title.
