I'm joining the "I want an Oasis" club.

I plan to trade in two existing Kindles (and I do qualify for immediate credit, I already did a trial run in the trade-in basket) I'll have $80 from that to go towards it. I'm guessing the 20% trade in discount will also be applicable, but if not, I'll still do it if there's a Prime Day deal.

I've been in the "what ereader" thread, so forgot to post here, but I'm planning on an Oasis also. In theory, hopefully, the 20% trade in discount will work, since the kindle I traded in was only worth $5. (an old kindle keyboard) This also assumes the Oasis is on sell for similar to last year's Black Friday price.

In other products...I may be looking for an InstaPot.

When I tried to trade in my older Fire 10 & older PW3 for the new Fire 10 about a year ago I Amazon would NOT do it! I was told 1 per New devise.

Fires can only be traded in on Fires, Kindles can only be traded in on Kindles. That was probably the cause of the hiccup.

Amazon doesn't want you using your credits with other vendors. They want their money back

You can only get one 20% discount on a new Kindle, yes, they don't stack, but the $$ credit amount isn't tied to anything but the trade in.

Agreed, but that does narrow down choices. Not so sure different credits (Whole Foods, Amazon Go, etc) stack either.
