Kobo Glo HD, stopped working hack

I hope that frostschutz will update AutoShelf. Very comfortable hack and I'm used to it.

The sqlite3 binary (the program used to query/modify the KoboReader.sqlite database that holds all the metadata for books and shelves) for some reason is segfaulting for me in 4.6.9960. I'll have to investigate / find another binary that works.

GeoffR mentioned that Kobo were using a different compiler for their code. I'm not sure if that would affect this, but it's a possible culprit.

Not sure about the exact cause, but I pilfered a working sqlite3 binary from Debian Stretch.

Then I noticed the mod was timing out because for some strange reason, mounting the onboard partition after USB disconnect now takes longer than it used to. (>10 seconds delay)

I've fixed these now and will do some more testing and then post the update in a few hours.

Update in the first post, it's much larger than before now due to dynamic sqlite3 binary + libraries, I'll see if I can create a more space efficient build in the future.

Yeah, pngshow (the hack I wrote to display PNG with transparency, rotation-agnostic) doesn't seem to work for the Glo HD (and other readers?) for some reason, same issue as with my screensaver hack (also using pngshow) that also works on my H2O but not for Glo HD users.

I don't have a Glo HD so it's difficult for me to find out the cause. And pngshow is an awful hack anyway. I wish there was something better, but the program Kobo itself uses (pickel) only does raw data images? which are huge, and slow, and there's no transparency... and it messes up the display rotation so everything else stops working too. Maybe I should wrap it in a display rotation restorer script. That's if the rotation is not the reason for it not working on the Glo HD. Ugh.

Basically I don't have a solution for this problem right now.

Oh, you can touch anywhere you like, it doesn't even check the coordinates.
But it sucks if you can't see if it's currently on or off.

Does anything happen at all when you do touch it, or does the screen not even flash?

The KSM package contains a sqlite3 (3.7.17; 564 KB) that works also under the current FW. It is located in /adds/kbmenu/tools.

Hi, I'm using Kobo glo hd, on an old firmware, the new sqlite3 doesn't work on it:
sqlite3: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.16' not found (required by /usr/local/AutoShelf/libtinfo.so.5)

The Icon is showing up fine.
