Hello. I have to make an epub3 but i don't resolve to install the plugin. I am on mac. I have already instal the python 3.4 interpreter Executable. Do i must install the python 2.7.
After what i must do to instal the plugin for epub3 ?
And after how to run the plug in.

No, the plugin works with either version.

1. In Sigil, select Plugins > Manage Plugins.
2. Click the Python 3.4 Auto button. This should add the path. If it doesn't open the Terminal app and enter the following command:

which python3

This should return the path to the python executable, which you need to copy to the Python.3.4 text box.
3. Select Manage Plugins > Add Plugin and select the plugin zip file.

I try to use plugin ePub3-itizer (0.3.2.) When I select file and start conversion, a get message 'Plugin failed to start'. Maybe is wrong Interpreters path to interpreter exutable. I don't have idea.

That error indicates that something is wrong with your set-up. Please provide information on your platform, and Sigil version, version of Python installed and where you downloaded it all from and if Linux whose build you are using). Then follow the directions posted immediately above your post (by Doitsu) to make sure the Python interpreter can be properly found and you have properly installed the plugin.

two quick questions:

1. Where does the development of this plugin happen? Do you have a GitHub repo for it? (From a quick search, it seems to me the answer is negative.)

2. If not, would you mind creating one? I would like to provide some code to handle EPUB3 Media Overlays, and using GitHub is handy. (Alternatively, I could create a repo and/or a "fork", but it does not feel right to me, as you provided most of the code.)

At high level, what I would like to achieve is allowing Sigil users to create EPUB 3 Audio-eBooks (reflowable + Media Overlays) using Sigil.

To do that, there are several different entry points:

1. the user already has an EPUB 2 file (Open...)
2. the user creates the EPUB (2) file from scratch (New...)
3. the user has an EPUB 3 file already (Open...)

Cases 1. and 2. imply:

A. inserting suitable id's (actually <span id="...">) into the XHTML markup to denote the MO fragments (I plan to code a separate edit plugin for doing this automatically);
B. adding audio files into the container (Sigil can do this already);
C. adding the SMIL files into the cointainer (for now, assume they are "dummy" SMIL files, but they can be computed using my aeneas tool: http://www.readbeyond.it/aeneas/ );
D. outputting to EPUB3: this can be done with your plugin plus some modifications I can easily code.

Case 3. implies a slightly different D. step, since the original OPF might already be EPUB3 compliant e.g. by having EPUB3-specific metas. But I think that your current OPF converter can be modified to handle both EPUB2- or EPUB3- OPF files. For example, right now you create refines for dc:creator or dc:contributor, using ids like "create1" or "contrib2" etc. The original EPUB3 OPF might have those ids already.

My questions are:

a) since step D is almost already covered by your current plugin, does it make sense/are you fine with me adding functionalities to handle Media Overlays (SMIL) files to it, at least for cases 1. and 2.?

b) What would you suggest for case 3.? Is it better to wait for Sigil to become fully EPUB3-capable? Shall a specific version of the plugin be made for outputting EPUB3 if the user opens an EPUB3?
