Just ordered Kindle Voyage 2014

In my experience, Best Buy (in US) usually gets a small stock in shortly after launch. When the PW1 first came out two years ago, I ended up cancelling my preorder with Amazon since my local store got a few of them in before they got around to shipping mine.

I actually bought my Paperwhite 2 from Best Buy, which is the first time I didn't buy a Kindle from Amazon.

I simply can't rationalize a third ebook reader. I have a Paperwhite 1, that has some issues, although not enough for me to want to repalce it. I also have a Simple Touch, that I can not figure out what to do with, with those two I simply can not figure out a reason for the new one.

I don't hold on to multiple eReaders either. I preordered the Voyage and the PW2 will either go to my mom (and I will sell her PW1) or I will sell the PW2 to help offset the cost.

Actually it works pretty well. We give our one diabetic cat his insulin by grabbing the skin on the back of his neck and put the needle in. He just sits there patiently not even flinching. After seeing the cat disabler, it makes sense now why he is not complaining.

Notice the body location used for the "deactivation"? It's the same area mother cats use when they pick up their kittens for a move. Mama cats have been deactivating their kittehs for eons.

Yep. My kittehs would most likely retaliate though. They have lots of CATtitude! They might wait a few days, but they would retaliate sooner or later.

Sold my kt days ago (way too early and deeply regretted!) and got insomnia..I need to read something before sleep thanks to kindle..

My Voyage is not going to come anytime soon..so I pick up some used books and a book light recently lol..how I miss my kindle..Book is too bulky and making page turn noise..font is small on books but suprisingly manageable..maybe I could use back normal font size to minimize the page turn..

Gotta be a tough month without kindle lol

What would you do if your mon's paper white died an untimely death for some odd reason and was in the middle of a good part of her book and needed something quick. Would you hand her your voyage? If I was in your situation I might have one spare for your mother and you so that your reader could be replaced quickly until you got a new reader.

I always have 2 Kindles on hand to change off with the lighting: a 2013 Kindle Fire 7" HDX and a 2013 Kindle Paperwhite. As I accumulate more, I give away the oldest ones as Christmas gifts. The recipients are so thankful thinking they were new.

I always save the boxes to make them appear new and enclose a wire for charging.

I'd just order a new device and pay for next day delivery plenty of paper books to keep me busy until the replacement arrives. Plus most people probably have access to a tablet/large-ish phone/computer to read on via the Kindle app if it was critically important to keep on reading *that* book...

Do you have two of everything (car, fridge, washing machine... actually let's make that the whole house), you know just in case something stops working

I bought my K3, PW1 and PW2 at retail stores rather than Amazon. I bought the K3 immediately on release. With the PW1 I waited several months to see if quality would improve because of the screen issues. With my PW2 I bought it on release from Best Buy. Took 3 tries to get one without pinholes but at least the exchanges were easy. I didn't preorder the Voyage because I'm also waiting until it is at Best Buy.
