But, the header and footer margins are fixed. They stay the same all the time. Which is not actually correct. More correct would be "They stay the same unless the book says it wants something different".

But, that isn't what you mean, is it. What you really mean is: "When Kobo decide to change the design of the firmware from what they think it should be to what I think it should be."

As to landscape mode, I doubt I would use it, but I was surprised when I realised it wasn't there. I can see a couple of design issues with the current layout of the screens that Kobo uses. Overcoming those might be a reason they haven't done it yet. And, maybe they research shows that it's one of these things that so few people actually use that it isn't worth the effort.

Sorry to hear you didn't like the H2O. I never use landscape mode and did not even realize it was missing compared to my old Kindles. As to header and footer, there isn't anything to fix really - there are so many ways to customize your look to what you want on the H2O. The screenshot below shows my customized fonts, line spacing, footer, and margins to get what I wanted in a reading screen - something I wasn't able to do on my PW's despite jailbreaking them.

I believe it can withstand a metre of water for 30 minutes. (Although I haven't tried it )

Well, I've just had a look at a Kobo H2O in WHSmiths and whilst I rather like the screen (the demo unit was 100% even) I'm not convinced it would be different enough to the Glo to go for it.

I think I shall wait for my Voyage to be delivered before deciding whether to keep it or go for something else.

That looks like my Aura HD, except I justify the text.

Oh and I have a header. I use kepubs.

Come on, you know those are the most important arguments regarding the decision to buy one or the other

It's your problem if you don't like those things bro, not mine. Thanks for your advice anyway.

I didn't see any questions or note any advice seeking. I thought it was just a bunch of comments.

Did you have some questions?

He wanted to know which one had the best light, but as he was moaning about both Kobo and Amazon it didn't seem to matter.

At the end of the day the best light is the one you're happy with.

So true! My Kobo Glos are not perfect, they have shadows at the bottom, but other than that, I think the light looks great. The screens are very white.

Of course the light on my Fire HD 6" is perfectly even, and the text is so sharp and dark! The display is better than any of my e-ink readers. But those darn games are distracting
