I actually call it "silver paper", in Spanish, that is, although I know very well it's not silver

Yep - it's called that in English, too, although the phrase is generally used for the very thin foil that chocolate bars are wrapped in, rather than the thicker stuff used in the kitchen.

I sent an email to gecko covers, asking for slimfit cover for kobo aura h2o.

And the answer was:

"Thank you for contacting us.
The Slimfit cover for the H2O is expected end of this month."

Nope. All depends Jon on where you live.....

See Wikipedia
Quote:
Two variants of the metal's name are in current use, aluminium (pronunciation: /ˌæl(j)ʊˈmɪniːəm/) and aluminum (/əˈluːmɪnəm/)—besides the obsolete alumium. The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) adopted aluminium as the standard international name for the element in 1990 but, three years later, recognized aluminum as an acceptable variant. Hence their periodic table includes both.[61] IUPAC internal publications use either spelling in nearly the same number.[62]

Most countries use the spelling aluminium. In the United States and Canada, the spelling aluminum predominates.[16][63] The Canadian Oxford Dictionary prefers aluminum, whereas the Australian Macquarie Dictionary prefers aluminium. In 1926, the American Chemical Society officially decided to use aluminum in its publications; American dictionaries typically label the spelling aluminium as "chiefly British".[64][65]

The various names all derive from its status as a base of alum. It is borrowed from Old French; its ultimate source, alumen, in turn is a Latin word that literally means "bitter salt".[66]

After picking up my H20 today at Lakeside Shopping Centre and setting it up in Debenhams using my iPhone as a personal hotspot (I wanted to make sure it was okay) we took a walk round and I found myself in Dixons.

My eye was drawn to a Black Samsung Tab 2 7 inch case on clearance for 99p.

I picked it up and as it has elastic straps it works fine as a temporary case until I can get hold off a proper case. It's a fraction thin for the H20 but it closes just fine. It does have an elastic strap to keep it closed, and you do need to remove it to charge, and the on/off switch is close to the corner strap, and it doesn't have any sleep wake facility but for 99p I'm not complaining.

In case anyone else in the UK is tempted it's on the web site and here are some pictures. Apologies that some are blurred.

Whereas in Canada, either seems to be acceptable. But then leftenant and lieutenant seem to be equally acceptable.

Now if we could convince those Yankees to pronounce "Zed" properly.

I was (fill in age of your choice) before I realized "damnyankee" wasn't one word.

Zed is a character in the Sword of Truth series. Z is a letter pronounced zee (z like in zip and ee as in bee).

I'd love some sort of silicone shell case, I had one for the Nook STR. I generally keep my ereader on me in a pocket on the inside of a jacket so I'm not really worried about the screen. However the H20 bezel does love to show fingerprints.

But I think I'm in the minority, I just never saw the point of adding a flap to an ereader. I don't need to emulate holding a book to read a book.

I purchased the case from ebay, it arrived today. It's a HD case so it needs to be removed for charging but the sleep wake works fine.

Thanks for the link. Shipping could take a while though. I ordered my Aura case through Aliexpress and it took over a month to arrive.
