You might be interested in the Onyx Boox T68, its android based and you can install Calibre Companion on it.

I am still on my first Kindle. 3G, Keyboard! That little trooper keeps on!!! Reminds me of a Plymouth Valiant I owned when young. 170 cu inch slant six, straight shift with a variable speed windshield wiper which really irritated a friend of mine who went with a Chevy and only had a 2 speed wiper.

Thanks for reminding me about this reader; I've looked at the Onyx products before -- they have a great feature set for my needs and I love the flexible/unlocked environment -- but it seems like every time I look, they are unavailable in the US. I think this is a reasonable price, but the Amazon listing shows it as "Currently Unavailable: We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." On the other hand, the UK store shows two in stock.

I had a couple used Valiants when I was young -- actually, now that I think about it, one was a Dart. I can still hear that slant 6 engine running (it probably still is running).

Dieseling. Yeah, I had a Corvair that used to do that, too.

Bookeen

I'm using Bookeen Cybook Odyssey HD Frontlight. Two weeks ago I was still using Odyssey v.1 but I accidentally broke it (back plate mangled, screen broken in several places). I was a bit tempted to change the reader but then I saw notice that Odyssey is about to get new firmware so I decided to get the upgraded version.

Both readers work well. The new one's front light is pretty nice feature. My eyesight is not as good as it used to be, so this ones has more contrast so I can delay switching to larger font a bit longer in the evening just by activating the lighting.

It's browser is good enough for writing messages to this forum if you have to (I have tried it with success).

With the new device I have contacted Bookeen's support via their ticket system and I have been very pleased with their response.

I'm using the original Paperwhite mostly, as with JBPatch it's the perfect ereader for me.

That slant 6 was a good engine. Rock solid. Not great on gas, though.

thanks

Thank you all!

Here were many helpful hints to my entry.

I think it is an onyx t68, even if there is no volume control with buttons and the display is not as good as the Kindle.

Regards

I'm currently using my Kindle Paperwhite 2. I love it, but find myself running low on space a lot (yes, I'm one of those that likes to take most of my library around with me at all times). I also use my iPad Mini with Marvin for IOS, but I do prefer reading on an eink screen.

I ordered a pink Kobo Aura this morning. I've never owned a Kobo before. All my previous readers have been Sony or Kindle (with the exception of a NookColor I had for a short time).
