Based on the list given in another thread, I've checked that the ebook I have chosen had (1) two prices listed (ie. "List Price" and "Our Price") and (2) price end in something other than ".99".

But just in case, I tried the Cadfael book too. But I simply couldn't find anywhere to enter the coupon code.

Free Today Amazon UK - The Spoilers / Juggernaut by Desmond Bagley

'THE SPOILERS

When film tycoon Robert Hellier loses his daughter to heroin, he declares war on the drug pedlars, the faceless overlords whose greed supplies the world with its deadly pleasures. London drug specialist Nicholas Warren is called upon to organise an expedition to the Middle East to track down and destroy them - but with a hundred million dollars' worth of heroin at stake, Warren knows he will have to use methods as deadly as his prey…

JUGGERNAUT

It was no ordinary juggernaut. Longer than a football pitch, weighing 550 tons, and moving at just five miles per hour, its job - and that of troubleshooter Neil Mannix - is to move a giant transformer across an oil-rich African state. But when Nyala erupts in civil war, Mannix's juggernaut is at the centre of the conflict - a target of ambush and threat, with no way to run and nowhere to hide…'

Here's a repeat freebie probably most of you own, but if you missed it: The Axeman's Jazz (Skip Langdon #2) by Julie Smith. Originally published as a mass market paperback September 1992 by Ivy Books/Ballantine Books.

CAN: http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B007YCEW10

UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007YCEW10

Quote:
WHAT’S THE PERFECT KILLING FIELD FOR A MURDERER?

A place where he (or maybe she) can learn your secrets from your own mouth and then make friends over coffee. A supposedly "safe" place where anonymity is the norm. The horror who calls himself The Axeman has figured it out and claimed his territory—he's cherry-picking his victims in the 12-Step programs of New Orleans.

And he's had the gall to name himself after a historical serial killer. He just needs to go down, and fast, because this is New Aw'lins, dawlin'—half the town is either alcoholic or co-dependent!

Who better to take him out than tall, funny, social-misfit Skip Langdon, now a homicide detective on the Axeman team, a gig that takes her into the 12-Step groups to meet the suspects (giving author Julie Smith a chance for gentle satire). As Skip threads her fascinated way from one self-help group to another, she finds she has more in common with the twelve-steppers than just the murder—her mother, for one thing, whom she encounters at Overeaters Anonymous! And she knows what they do not: that among their anonymous numbers is a murderous, and dangerously attractive psychopath…

Free Today Amazon UK - One is One and All Alone (A DCI Webb Mystery) by Anthea Fraser

'When DCI Bennett remarries after the death of his wife, his family struggle to understand his new choice of partner.
Una is a private, isolated woman, providing little in the way of companionship and preferring to live a very separate life to her husband.
Soon after the wedding, Bennett’s old friend from the force, DCI Webb, also begins to wonder about Una.
And as the two detectives work together on a series of violent shop raids, Bennett’s mood starts to sour.
When two members of the Bennett family become victims of murder, and the cold-hearted Una seems to be inexplicably tangled up in the crimes,Webb is forced to investigate whether she should be a suspect.
Very quickly, a baffling murder investigation is underway, complicated by the intricacies of family disputes and loyalties.
And Webb faces one of the most traumatic cases of his career…'

Free Today Amazon UK - Cold Kill by Tom Kasey

'Cattle mutilations in New Mexico are hardly news.
But when human victims start appearing on the prairie with similar injuries to the cows, it’s time somebody started taking a serious interest.
Steven Hunter is the man on the spot, but his investigations take him in two completely different directions.
Who’s flying the near-silent, all-black helicopters that some witnesses have reported seeing in the area?
But more importantly, what’s the motive of the killer who’s dumping the mutilated and eviscerated corpses of young men and women way out on the prairie?
Is he just a copycat killer with a bizarrely perverted sense of humour? Or has he got some other, deeper and far more sinister motive?
The killer seems almost invisible, leaving no forensic evidence on his victims.
And each victim is a loner, which means conventional detection techniques simply don't work.
So how are Hunter and Sheriff Dick Reilly going to find him before he identifies and snatches his next victim?
The investigation takes on a whole new level of urgency when the killer chooses a target who's close to them both…
And the next 'Cold Kill' might be dangerously close to home. '

I have to agree with that, though I have reread most of them in the last few years. My 19 year old son has been enjoying them as well.

Kobo UK also have Running Blind / The Freedom Trap and The Golden Keel / The Vivero Letter for £0.99.

Both of those have been free in the last few weeks (see earlier in this thread). Are they cycling through the whole lot at one omnibus a week? That would be really bad for my TBR.

Yes, you're right. I think I hadn't paid attention as I had bought them earlier in the year. And I hope you are right. I still need to get three books to complete the set.
