![]() I really wish they had put back the page turn buttons and increased the on-board storage though. |

I switched from a PW to an Aura HD because the uneven lighting was really annoying me (and it wasn't just at the bottom, there were patches all over). I went through 3 PWs trying to get a good one, no luck. The Aura HD isn't 100% even either but it has a really advanced feature that Amazon couldn't implement in the PW - the ability to actually turn the light off!
The only other thing I'd be interested in when I go for either a new Aura or new PW, apart from even lighting, is reduced depth between bezel and screen. I know the new Aura is completely flat, but I'm worried about how this is implemented - I've heard reports it's now "low glare" and not "no glare", which is worrying. As for the new PW, I've read nothing about the depth between bezel and screen, so I assume it's the same as the old PW. I think I'll try both in my hand before deciding. |

I caved and ordered one - I can always cancel if I change my mind about it. After my old Kindle (not PW) died I didn't want a new Kindle but a different model brand because there were so many things that aggravated me. The Kobo Aura HD is too expensive for me though, so I didn't get that. Now it seems that Amazon has adressed a LOT of things that were bothering me, so I couldn't resist.
It's mostly the software (page flipping, actual footnotes etc!) though so I wouldn't upgrade if I already had an older model. |

What do they mean by the new PW screen causing less glare and eye-strain? Does anyone here using the light at around 12 feel any glare or eye strain? Obviously in a very dark room I'll have it down at 3-4 max so even less. I can see how at 24 there is glare because the strength of the light emits from the front a bit, but otherwise?

Well, its between the new PW and the new Aura for me. The Sony T3 just doesn't appeal to me at all.
I'll wait until some REAL reviews of both devices appear before making my mind up. |

I am interested in the Goodreads integration and the Flip Page. I do not care about the light improvement since I usually use my Fire for night time reading, and the only time I really change fonts is when I need something a little larger without increase the font size.

It's there now. It says November 5th for the 3G model.
