Thank you both for the update Just after my comment, I found a news stating the supposed price, so I've created a thread in the French forum (not as active as the German one ) but I forgot to update here.

However, regarding the release date, I have to say that it's earlier than expected. Which is great. Thank you Paola.

Are you considering buying one? I was so set on buying a Mini Glo, if anything like that is ever to be made, and nothing else. But lately, I've started to see the advantages in having a full sized frontlit ereader at home and a smaller one to carry everywhere. So I could be buying a Glo or an Aura

I'm trying to come up with reasons why I have to have it, even though I'm quite happy with my Onyx. The large HD screen certainly appeals to me.

Ok, if you're not sure yet, here is your reason: I think you have to have one

I've just got mine set up and those options are there. However, what appears to be missing is the menu icon in the library, shelves, preview settings from which you can view details/synopsis and delete, archive, etc . Mark as finished can be done from inside the book but not from the library list etc. I might be a bit thick and have missed how to do all this somehow. I hope this is the case as I really like these features.

On another note, the light is perfectly white at all levels to my eyes and there is a barely perceptible shadowing at the bottom. In fact the shadowing is so little that I have to search it out to see it. The light dimmest setting is too low for me to read in complete darkness, it is very low.

I think my Mini will have a brother in the near future (Glo or Aura), but for that the Aura has to be available. If Paola is right, it may be this week (I need a jumping smiley)

I just had to go through the photos and check as I hadn't noticed the missing menu icon for each book. It seems like a big function to have lost. But as the status has been moved to the end of the line, what happens when you press the status?

Hold your finger on the book and the menu for View Details, Mark as Finished, Add to shelf, Archive and Delete pops up.

Archive I think only works with kepubs though so you don't get that menu item for side loaded epups.

So: tap to open, long press for menu and swipe to scroll. Is that right?

Yes, only with books from the Kobo server.

Thanks, I knew I had to be overlooking something. I went all night without discovering this,

I'm glad you're loving your new Kobo Aura HD. I have a question: can you remove some of the shortcuts in the main home screen, like the 'reading stats' and the web-browser shortcut?
