It came with the tan case.

I have just started charging it which I understand takes about 3 hours.
Glad your CyBook arrived, Moonraker - hope you have fun!

I ordered mine just 5 days later, with an order number of 604x
(although I think there has already been mention of unusual order IDs in a previous thread? That said they appear to be pretty much sequential)

I never went for the deluxe set, not really valuing the leather case (or at least preferring one in black or non-leather). Wondering if many other folks decided on not going with the case? I have a feeling it might make it a little bit easier to hold with the case, in retrospect.

Harry, I guess I'm suffering from a bad case of buyer's remorse. At the moment my Cybook is on a FedEx truck driving around Frankfurt, so I hope I'll get it some time this afternoon and then everything will be just fine. (Or so I hope!)

For the record, I ordered mine on November 6th and got it yesterday.

Very nifty little device, considering I'm coming from a REB 1100 reader. This is MUCH easier on the eyes. I do miss the taping on the screen to select things though.

I ordered the deluxe kit and got the black case myself.

No problems other than getting used to how stiff the 4 way button is...

Though I do have a few suggestions on how to make it better.

My order number is 571x, I ordered mine on 22nd November, FedEx estimate mine will be delivered by 6pm today (14th). I'm having mine delivered to my work address in the centre of Edinburgh so I might have to stay late

Whee! I've just got my Cybook, too! It looks lovely, is soooo thin, and I can't wait to try it out. At the moment it's charging, so I have to be patient a little while longer.

But ... I got the wrong cover. Again, without any sort of explanation. Argh! Argh! Argh! What is wrong with these Bookeen people?

You got the same cover that most people in the current batch seem to be getting. Is it inadequate in some way? The reason I ask is that I haven't seen any pictures of it.

First Post Greetings to all..

Thank you for providing me with much to do while waiting for Bookeen to ship my Cybook. It is now on the way (nb. 656x) and should arrive on the 17th :-D

From what I've read I should probably start trawling the city for fingerpuppets to mod (don't want to suffer from that "blackberry" thumb thingy)

Now it's time for that other waiting game...

picture is from http://xkcd.com - have a look it's some funny stuff...

Harry, yes, I know. Apparently it's the cover that's sold at M-Edge. I would have preferred the original brown cover because the chocolate brown colour makes for a nicer "old book" feel, whereas the black jacket is more the executive type. In addition, the leather strap that is used to close the black cover will probably get in your way when you're reading, whereas the brown cover is held closed by integrated magnets.

The thing that bugs me most about this is that Bookeen has once more not informed its customers about this change. We all know that they're probably a rather small company, so one does of course make allowances for that. However, they could have sent a form e-mail to everybody that unfortunately they have run out of the original covers, but have replacements at hand. Or they could have included a form letter with some sort of explanation in the actual package. If that had happened, all would have been fine. But to simply send a different product to your customer? That's what I find unacceptable. *sigh*
