Possible solution for full screen images

First of all thanks for your hard works.

just tried to install it on KTouch 5.1.0
and....

Spoiler:

it worked !..
( with some problems
1- menu items are not working ( items under the bookmark menu and reading menu) when I try to use them app crashes.
2- whenever it tries to load a file that doesn't exist, then app crashes with the same warning:

and it always tries to open one more item when I tap for the next item.( ie for a folder with 5 items, it tries to open 5.jpg and crashes )

3- there are some problems related with the design:

I didn't try it with 5.1.0 but I didn't expect such a mess!
I don't get why it behaves like this as it's just a bunch of HTML and Javascript and I thought it would be always the same!

I'll try to fix it as soon as I'll update my Kindle!

Sorry about it, I tested the app only on a 5.0.4 firmware!

Create directory images in root of Kinlde USB-disk. Then put there:

• pictures
• subdirectories with pictures
• zip-archives with images.

Subdirectories and zip-archives are represented as packages: images in packages could be listed with taps or flicks on screen.

Images are displayed fullscreen. Image viewer is an ordinary booklet, so for displaying of back button etc. just tap at top of screen.

That's great, I tried it and it works perfect!

What's more, there is no need to use a Launcher: images directory is listed with the book collections, so, subdirs and zip files look like a real book!

(PS: I also used your menu configurations for YifanLu's launcher, just switched the dynamic parameter to true, and it also worked)

You can choose the %: under 100% it shrinks the image, over 100% it enlarges the image and adds 4 arrows to navigate in the image (if you don't want to use the swipe. Arrows are much more precise!).
They disappear by themselves and you can bring them on by double tapping on the screen.

If possible, could You, please, upload files for launcher, so we, without programming expirience could easy get to read comics on our kindles

I've been trying to read manga using this amazon's image viewer and noticed that some critical features are missing. I hope silver18 will release a 5.1 compatible version of his excellent viewer!

Here are the downsides of amazon's image viewer:

1) Starts slow, and gets slower as the number of images go higher
2) Doesn't remember where you left reading
3) Cannot go to a specified page. It always starts with the first image and you have to swipe all the way to the desired page.
4) No landscape mode
5) No bookmarks
6) No zoom

I just upgraded to the last version 5.1.0... well, I don't have such a messy design problems... but, the critical one, it's the crushing problem, when you try to load an unexisting image...

And, about the built-in image viewer... just as nerduban said, it lack a bunch of critical features... the Silver's Image Gallery it's a lot better for now...

How about changing the image directory to "images" (/mnt/us/images) instead of /mnt/us/documents/gallery to adapt to the official app?

OOOOKKKK....

I just fixed the GUI problems...easy thing.

I found out which is the problem related to crash using any function: alert boxes!

I removed every alert box and everything went fine.
Now I have to find out what to do in order to fix it. I even can't understand what and why Amazon changed!
Alert boxes are a basic functionality in javascript!

I think the problem is related to how the kindle manages popup..



Rotation has a different problem:
5.1.0 firmware adds the rotation support (sort of....) but not for the browser and, therefore, not for WAFs like ImageGallery!

Summing up:
portrait version should be fixed soon (I have to learn how to treat pop-up)
rotation version will probabily need more time!

Damn Amazon...
