I find Amazon's battery statement to be somewhat unrealistic, but that's advertising for you!

ok, so that computes to maximum of 30 hrs per full charge with wi-fi off and maximum of 21 hours with wi-fi on.
So if you read longer than a half a hour (and who doesn"t?), you know you have between 21 and 30 hours of battery life. OK, that makes more sense and something I can live with.

Mine shipped yesterday but I got Smartpost because I didn't have prime and opted for free delivery. It's in KY right now going towards my destination GR.

**Question does the Kindle Fire have a factory screen protector or plastic on screen?**

No sh#$! Been there and done that. Takes 8 hours to travel 100 miles, but you get to see every one horse town and whistle stop along the way!

My Fire flew from AZ to KY then to TX. My cover/sleeve Originated in KY and flew to TX. There were a lot of Fires airborne over night!
