How do I uninstall Apps (downloaded and installed from Market)??
Go to Market, then Downloads, then press the app you want to uninstall.
You will see an option at the bottom right to uninstall. Press it and it should
uninstall the app.

At least, that's the way that I have done it.

...and yet others ways to uninstall apps include using Astro's App manager or NookColor tools.

question: can i hook up my cell phone with my sd card in it instead of an adapter ? Or will that mess up the rooting process?

According to http://nookdevs.com/NookColor_Rooting

Note: You should use a dedicated USB card reader or a SD card adapter. Devices with integrated card readers (cameras, smartphones, the Nook itself) will generally not work - they are unable to modify the partition table correctly, and the SD card will not boot. A very few devices will work for this, if yours did, count yourself lucky. Walmart sells USB sd readers for under $10.

Give it a shot. According to that info the worse thing that can happen is it won't boot off the card.

On the website http://nookdevs.com/NookColor_Rooting it says you can either download the bare-bones nooter or auto-nooter. What is the difference?

Use the auto nooter. It's the most automatic solution and more suitable for inexperienced rooters.

Okay thanks! Also, for anyone who can help. I downloaded win32DiskImager and when I clicked the zip in the folder I downloaded it into it gave me this popup that said:
Compressed(zipped) Folders Warning
This application may depend on other compressed files or folders.

For the application to run properly, it is recommended that you first extract all files.

Extract all run exit

Do I hit exttract all or run?

Nookgirl, as I recall, you're NOT supposed to extract anything at all. Which set of instructions are you following? (Just want to make sure you're following the set that's the most clear.)

Yeah, okay, the official site. I also found this other thread very helpful (I ended up flipping back and forth from both to verify what I was doing), because I found the instructions and screenshots more clear. Scroll down to where it says "Now to re-root":
