I had a horrible day yesterday. I only wrote for about two hours and had 1265 words, but I only have 2259 total. I was hoping to have more by now, but work got in the way. Stupid work. phhbbbttttt
dadioflex, I'm glad I'm the only one without a title. I'm usually halfway through a story before a title occurs to me. Oh, keep up the good work. |

2259 isn't a bad place to be--still not that hard to get back on track. You can do it! |

I'm at 3,402 words as of last night. So about 45 words ahead of schedule. Mine is titled "A Visit to Luna."

Here's mine: http://www.nanowrimo.org/en/particip.../novels/algory
I'm cruising along at right around 2200wpd (6555 so far), finding 3-4 hours to write each day. It's better than I've done in the past or expected to be doing, but I'm going to be on the road couch-surfing for a week or more at the end of the month, and may be reduced to thumbing out the remainder on a tablet, so I need to give myself more of a cushion. |

I am insanely jealous of all of you! I am a stay at home parent with a 3 year old so I write approximately 4 hours a week. Then again, I only have 20,000 words or so to do before I've cracked my current wip and I'm sort of tempted... I could get the excel spread sheet and average out the words per day.
Still haven't signed up yet though so I might not be able to... it may be a case of doing it next year when school is full-time. Cheers MTM |

My limited understanding, as I'm not a NaNoWriMo participant, is that a writing buddy, helps to keep you motivated and on track. They could possibly be a sounding board as well.
Hopefully someone with actual NaNoWriMo experience will come along and can better answer the question for you. My fangirlness was due to an established writer like Ms. Harrison recognizeing the value in NaNoWriMo. |

I was aiming to break 10k today and stop somewhere near 11k; I ended up stopping well past 12k after a squick scene, a moment of Lovecraftian horror courtesy of a werewolf, and some scenery pr0n.

I'm sitting at 6083, but only because I've typed like a maniac the last few hours. I didn't get to write at all yesterday, and most of today was taken up with shopping, house cleaning, and eating the bbq my hubby made. I'm happy with the 2100 words I typed today, but I'm hoping to do more tonight. I just took a break to do something else for a few minutes before my brain exploded. (and to gather my thoughts, I'm at a tough scene)
