Snow flurries stopped .... cold & gusty winds ... rock hard frozen snow/sleet/ice sheet covering the lawn, driveway, and street .... we're not going anywhere real soon ...

Last time we checked, about 2 hours ago, we had 25 inches of snow. It seems to slowing down a bit, so we'll probably top off at the 28 inch mark. The silver lining is that we're not supposed to get an "Arctic Blast" of cold air after the storm. I was supposed to drive to New England tomorrow, and I probably could do that if I could dig the minivan out in time. Most of New York State and Western New England don't seem to have gotten much snow.

If anyone wants to play along at home, here's a link to the traffic cams on our major highways. I'm close to I-287 and I-78.

Same down here in Charlotte. We got a total of about 3 inches of ice/snow combined. Luckily, ours was snow and sleet and no freezing rain. As such, nothing stuck to trees or took power out. My parents out in eastern NC have been without power for about 30 hours. Ours was out for about 30 seconds. Glad to live in an integrated neighborhood that has its own grocery store though as the cars still aren't going anywhere for a day or two.

Currently 28 and everything that thought about melting today is refreezing now.

After the 10 inches of snow we got over Friday and Saturday, and highs only in the low 20's F on Saturday, it got up to 48 today to give us a start on digging out.

-4C and some light snow. Very nice indeed. If winter were always like the last few days it would be pretty good. Although, I'd actually like a bit colder as I prefer the crunching snow to the slushy.
