Kindle Voyage - First Impressions

I hold the right flap up when reading - usually to stop the light disturbing my husband as he falls asleep, but sometimes because it is more comfortable.

I'd have thought there'd be mileage in it for them to do both - but then, no doubt they worked out the marketing potential carefully, so perhaps I'm wrong. It's just a drag trying to trawl through third party cases to find something that will do what it is meant to do and hold up to a few years of use.

Anyone know why Best Buy is selling the Orgami cover cheaper then Amazon? ($40 vs $45)???

Looks like the same case to me, except Best Buy only sells the black version.

Exactly! I usually fold the flap all the way over when reading, but sometimes I prefer to hold it open like a traditional hardback book. When reading in bed, though, I hold it open to block the light from my husband's side of the bed.

You do need to use a real digital camera (not on a phone) because I cannot see anything wrong because the photos are too small and too blurry to show any problems.

Why is it people take such crappy blurry photos when they are trying to show something that needs a good camera to show?

Actually, I think it's more likely that more people in the US post a review about their bad screens then people do in the UK. That's more likely what's going on.

I would never email Amazon CS. I'd just call CS and speak to someone. If that didn't get sorted, I'd ask for a supervisor. I'd keep at it until the problem got solved. Calling gets things resolved faster then email (IMHO).

Yes, it is adult as I don't think many non-adults would understand it all that well.

But they are not described as "adult fiction". It is, as you well know, a euphemism for "sexually explicit content".

With Original origami cover you could have that Book Style Reading only when reading in LANDSCAPE format.

That is not my point. I know how capitalism works.

I just rarely see (if ever) an Amazon made product sold that much lower at a retailer. Especially when it isn't a sale.

This is MSRP according to Best Buy.

Seems fishy to me, Amazon upcharging due to demand.

Amazon is not "upcharging," it is the same price now as when it was released. It is BB who is discounting.
