I was checking out a few things and noticed that Friday the Rabbi Slept Late (The Rabbi Small Mysteries), by Harry Kemelman, is now $1.99 at both Amazon and Kobo. It's a good series and I've seen other titles mentioned in this thread, but I don't think I've seen this one.

The regular ebook price seems to be $7.99, and I have no idea how long this price will be available.

One to his wife, one to his brother-in-law, and one to a mysterious third party.

The first two letters are so damaging to their recipients, that they dare not show them to the police.

But with no corpse and no apparent suicide letter, the police can only regard Harold as another missing person and the case is closed.

But this leaves Harold’s brother-in-law and wife asking questions.

Who received the third letter?

Where was Harold’s body?

With no help from the police, the brother and sister duo launch their own investigation, thus beginning a strange chain of events, with some startling revelations…

Check your records before buying this one. I have the same book, also $1.99 in 2011, but this doesn't show that I've already bought it. So it's a new edition or new uploading, or something .... but make sure you don't already have it!

Check your records before buying this one. I have the same book, also $1.99 in 2011, but this doesn't show that I've already bought it. So it's a new edition or new uploading, or something .... but make sure you don't already have it!
Always a good idea!

This edition is published by Open Road and features a brief piece by the author describing his background and the inspiration for the series which is described as "new," so they probably are the new rights holders.
