The Bergkirchweih is an annual beer festival, similar to the Oktoberfest in Munich but smaller in scale. It takes place during the twelve days before and after Pentecost (that is, 49 days after Easter); this period is called the "fifth season" by the locals. The beer is served at wooden tables in one-litre stoneware jugs under the trees of the "Berg", a small, craggy, and wooded hill with old caves (beer cellars) owned by local breweries. The cellars extend for 21 km throughout the hill (the "Berg") and maintain a constant cool underground temperature. Until Carl von Linde invented the electric refrigerator in 1871, this was considered to be the largest refrigerator in Southern Germany.

Hanover, Germany

Hanover is the capital city of the German state of Lower Saxony. It's known for trade fairs like the annual CeBIT tech expo. The red-brick Gothic Market Church and the Old Town Hall stand among half-timbered houses in the rebuilt old town. The ornate New Town Hall has views from its dome and 4 different scale models of the city through the ages. The 17th-century Herrenhäuser Gardens are just outside the city center.

Ramallah

Ramallah is a Palestinian city in the central West Bank located 10 km (6 miles) north of Jerusalem. It currently serves as the de facto administrative capital of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA).

Ramallah, like most Palestinian areas, has a rich folklore of song and dance. Songs accompanied people in every occasion whether it was the harvest season, roofing a house, traveling, coming back from travel, engagement, wedding, or even death. Most of the songs were sung by the women with the exception of Zaffeh and Mal'ab which are sung by the men at wedding celebrations. Palestinian educator Bahia Khalil's book "Ramallah Folklore Songs and Traditions" documents to a great extent this oral tradition inherited from one generation to another.

Hope Township was established by German Moravians in 1769. It is one of the earliest planned communities in the country. It's just north of Jenny Jump Mountain and State Forest.
