Beautiful day. 60+ degrees Fahrenheit. Went for a two mile walk in just my shirt-sleeves.

Well, pants and shoes also, of course. I've been warned not to walk around Richmond in just a shirt.

It's officially spring! This morning, as I was walking down the driveway (which is flanked by yew bushes) I walked face first into a spider web! Always at face level!

Oh .... and the temps have been above 32 F all week .....

We tied the record high for March 11 down here (83F yesterday). There has been an EXPLOSION of robins as well.

Hot and steamy, cat 3 cyclone Olwyn about to hit the coast up north and heading down towards us, with severe weather warnings here for Saturday. After the storm we'll be getting a lovely reprieve from the heat.

But we still have plenty of snow in the piles I made beside the driveway and in the woods out back. And, the forecast for tomorrow night into Friday calls for up to three inches of ... snow.
