It's seasonably cold outside, but sunny without a cloud in the sky.

Woke up this morning to a fresh layer of ice on the ground ... and the car, and the trees, etc.

Fortunately, there was a "window" at about noon for me to get out to the doctor's office for an appointment.

And now, more mist and freezing rain.

There should be enough sun tomorrow to take care of it before the next snow on Thursday.

Currently 52° F in Richmond. When I left for my walk this afternoon, the temp was 41° and when I got back the temp was 45°. The roller coaster ride continues.

Here in Richmond the humidity is at 40% as is the chance of rain. The temp is at 46° Fahrenheit. I took a shortened walk today. I didn't want to get too far from the hospital in case it started raining, and walking around the same city blocks got boring fast. It was barely sprinkling when I started my walk but quickly stopped.

It's 2:18 in the afternoon and I'm sitting here in my daughter's hospital room and the woman who cleans the room just came in and asked, "It that snow I see outside the window?" Why, yes! Yes it is! Light snow, to be sure, but neither of us heard a word from any of the weather forecasters about snow.

It finally got cool enough outside (minimum of 22), and there was little enough bushfire-smoke haze, to open the windows overnight. Fresh air! And the maximum today is below 30!

Just sitting here, watching the temperature drop. Tonight's low should be about 5º F and tomorrow's high should be about 20º -- it's also supposed to be windy, so it'll feel even chillier.

But the sunset is coming later and later, so it won't last long.

High of 38 F today, maybe. Tomorrow night temps plummet into single digits, with wind gusts of 35 mph or more, and wind chills of 0 F or lower.

Sigh ... I moved to the south to get away from winter .... I've been followed!

Looks like sledding on Sunday. 10 to 15cm of snow on Saturday with high winds and cold windchills (-35C) then sunny with a high of -4C on Sunday.

Sorry - we much have left the door open. Let me see if I can get it closed (despite the drift of snow blocking the hinges ....). Those are the temperatures we've got right now too.

It's cold as a witch's kitty here in Richmond, and you know how cold cats can get when they're riding tail gunner on a broomstick! Temps were in the teens overnight with a wind chill in the single digits. All day the temps have hovered around the freezing point. Today I took my walk inside the building.
