My goal is to install Polish Language from here:

But after runing MRI got message "Package script failed (1) moving on ...."
So thought to unjailbreake, downgrade to 5.8.5.0.2, jailbreak and install that source https://github.com/AthameBook/kindle...-5.8.5.0.2.bin

The message is correct.
Packages are model locked and you are not trying to install it on the Oasis model.
That can be seen in the name of the file.

Try the correct file:
https://github.com/AthameBook/kindle...ce228b1dc87132

You would not have to un-jailbreak to repeat the process.

Important Notes:
That is not a source file, it is a perl binary.

It is not released by Mobileread, and we do not support other people's code here. Get your support from the author.

We do not support or condone "closed source" add-ins here.

I do still support the jail break procedure that I posted (this one).

But additions and changes that you make yourself or get from another site -
NMP, NMJ, you and the author are on your own.

Hello Kindle folks,

just trying to jailbreak my Kindle Paperwhite 3 2016. Firmware 5.8.1 (2974910023) and when using WinMD5Free the checksum of the bin file and the md5 do not match.
I already tried downloading the files multiple times on different PCs. Same result.



The files in question are update_PW3_5.7.4_initial.bin.md5 and update_PW3_5.7.4_initial.bin

The MD5 Checksum of the .bin file is 14f2267189b9ecc51d89e4e86f201e75
The one from the .bin.md5 file is f171f62e00331d6b98e33df7b236d77d

Does that mean that the download breaks every single time with the exact same filesize and checksum value or the .bin file is alright, only the md5 file is the wrong one?

You are taking the checksum of the wrong file.

The *.bin.md5 file CONTAINS the name and checksum value of the *.bin file.

That panel field "Original file" -
You have the name of the checksum file, not of the *.bin file in that field.

To get that correct, use the top 'browse' button to select the *.bin file, not the *.bin.md5 file.

The bottom panel field shows the correct md5 checksum (correctly).

Hint: This is the only report of an MD5 checksum error on that file and it has been download 5,327 times from the primary server, downloaded 653 times (this month) from the secondary server.

I have a paperwhite 3 (G090 KB) with firmware 5.8.1.
I downgraded with 5.7.4 => OK
I searched ;installHtml => OK
I updated with Update_jailbreak_hotfix_1.14.N_install.bin, but it doesnt work => error 007.

Could you help me?

You did not mention putting the actual jailbreak file on the root of visible USB storage.
Repeat step #5 - Confirm that afterwards you have the 'Jailbroken' document.

Go to the settings menu, display the "Device Info" panel and see if that serial number is not actually G090 KB.
That is, a "B" rather than an "F".

You should also be able to find the device serial number on the box label (if you still have it).
The serial number will be in the 'Manage Devices' page of your Amazon account. Use your browser to increase the text size until you are sure of that 6th character.
(they should all look like the same 6th character, either "F" or "B" (bee) )

If you suspect eye sight problems, have some one else double check for you.

Hello, i unpackaged themainHtmlViewer.TAR.GZ.... that is why it didnt work ! Now it is working, but i have a problem with the LibrarianSync but i will write in the right topic

Ok so I just got a PW3 (B) 4gb Wifi only G090G1 running on 5.8.6 and I would like to jailbreak it. I believe it is possible from everything I've read here but when I go through the .md5 validation on both sets of downloads my .md5 codes are always different. Is there something wrong with these links or what's going on here? I don't want to start anything until I know I can validate the files. I've had JB experience on apple devices but never a kindle.

So I have followed this forum and it's post on the sticky and have gotten to step 6 in which it seems the directions start to dive deeper into the Jail Break Survival Code link. In that post it says you must install KUAL and even deeper MRPI for the hotfix to be installed correctly, or am I wrong? Anyway I went through the process of installing those through the links on each post diving deeper from the original Survival Code Link. So now that I have KUAL installed on my PW3 It's my understanding that I need to place the hotfix in the mrpackages directory of the PW3 which I did. So now when I go into my library and try to open the KUAL directory I get this error: This item is not signed by an authorized developer. Please contact the developer. I don't want to continue with any install or update as I don't believe the hotfix is applied in any way. What can I do? I made sure to restart after the jailbreak and I have the jailbreak app in my library. For clarification my Kindle ver is PW3 G090G1 (B) 4gb Wifi Only and was originally running on 5.8.6 before downgrading to Factory Firm.

You are over thinking the process.

Follow the directions in the first post, only those directions, they are a complete set of directions.

For instance:
Step #6, just below the link, there is a spoiler, open the spoiler, follow the steps written there.
The 'hotfix' package is built to be used just as described in those directions.
