-17C. Nice and warm, except for the NNW wind at 61km/h gusting to 74km/h making the windchill -32C.

First real winter wind of the season.

Just cold and still outside. Our overnight low was 6 (F) and it looks like we just hit our high of 18 -- it's 17 and on the way back down, now.

Stormy, again.
This winter the weather is very cyclical it seems. It starts with a cold spell, around freezing and within 7-10 it'll warm up to around 10C for the temperature to drop again, quickly, to around freezing. Often when the days it's around 10C there is also a storm (like yesterday and today).

0F (-18C) when I got up this morning. And that wasn't very early, either. Fortunately we're having a warm spell; it has reached a balmy 16F (-9C) by 1pm now.

You know it's cold out when you get in your car at 10:00 am and there are still frost stars all over the windshield. j

I'm tired of winter already .... will Canada please keep their air in place?

Cold and overcast all day, today. Freezing rain expected overnight, just in time for my morning drive. It should changeover to just cold, pouring rain by noon.

Hot and dry, hot and dry, hot and dry. Large swathes of land burning at Bullsbrook (30 or so km away), with the current theory being that it was started by some twonk with an angle grinder. Over 7000 hectares burned so far, happily no deaths, firies doing an amazing job saving lives and homes as usual. The fire is finally contained (though it broke lines the last time they said that), and the current firefighting focus is on an area of RAAF land containing unexploded ordnance.

Had to get a start on the day at the tail end of an ice storm. Our dead end was a bit slippery but the main roads were okay. And the ice storm changed over to just rain a couple of hours ago -- and the rain should keep up for the rest of the day.

No rain forecast for tomorrow, but it's supposed to get much (much) colder.
