I just wish I knew what it was.
I just keep hearing upper respiratory infection.

And it's probably my own damn fault this time.
I was a little congested when I got my flu shot.

It's so damp around here, I can't tell if I've got a cold or not.

I am too scared to get a flu shot. I think they make you sick. Now you are sick... see

I only take antibiotics if I am really sick and can't shake it off myself. I think if you take them all the time, you are making your body weak and dependent, then when the big pandemic hits..... well you know

I get those when I'm severely sleep deprived, which hasn't happened in several years. It used to happen like clockwork every 21 days when I worked at a plant where the shifts rotated every week. One week out of three, we would get off work Friday night at midnight and come back in Sunday night at 11 PM. By 7 AM Monday morning I would be hearing all kinds of weird things.

I had a sleep deprived auditory thing. Once at sea without sleep for ages, we finally put the anchor down at a small island, and I could hear a party on shore. Well it was the music from a party. Later I realised there was nobody there, and I was hearing harmonics from the boat engine. i.e. The party stopped as soon as we shut the engine down.

I experience something like that in server rooms, from all the fans going, especially if I'm tired. I remember going out to find out who had the radio going full blast only to find the room next door empty and silent. Went back into the server room, and it started again - it really sounded like a commercial music radio station. It took me a little while to work out what it was from.

When my insomnia is really bad, I hear an odd tone. I don't really know how to describe it. Sort of electronic. Sort of like the wind rushing steadily. I used to describe it as the "night hum" when I was a kid.

I start seeing things when I'm sleep deprived. no shit saw a marching band at 2 in the morning in the middle of a remote highway in Wyoming. I'd been up for about 36 hours

Roof's coming apart again. Of course after not raining for 3 weeks straight guess what we get for the next 3 days?

On another note Shel now has symmetrical dual monitors. Used to be her 16:9 and a 1280x1024 VGA, now it's my twin 1680x1050 Acers, which in turn were replaced by equally-twin and symmetrical 1920x1080 Acers.
