That was weird, even for Americans. But very interesting! I could have done without the jelly.

My favorite were the gorgonzola meatballs. The chef was nice enough to give out his recipe. Here's the article on the event, I know the paper posted the recipe but I can't find it.

Aside from the jelly... How is turkey meatballs with peanut butter sauce so very different from Chicken Kung Pao or General Whazzisname's Chicken?

It's kind of an important aside though. Peanuts in savoury food is not at all unusual. Satay sauce and gada-gado (and my laksa) wouldn't be the same without it.

Isn't that part of the French food philosophy too (eg. to use every part of the animal)? It's probably a universal law - if you can keep it down, and it doesn't kill you, it's food.
