Thank’s for checking Chapter one and Lynx-Lynx I tried again, I’m in a different computer and the same happened, I tried the link Lynx posted and it didn’t work, tried the VPN and it worked, also today I’m using mozzila and yesterday I only tried in chrome, maybe it’s the combination of the browser and the vpn that allowed me. I’ll try again at home using mozzila.

Does anyone else have problems with errors on discount pages on the Kobo website? Whenever I try to follow a link from a newsletter I end up on an error page (page doesn't exist) and I get the same error when I try to reach https://www.kobo.com/referafriend-b.

Can anyone from outside the US actually reach those pages? My account is set on a US address, but the links don't work when I'm logged in either. I never had this problem before, and it's very frustrating!

You can only reach those pages by using VPN.

I get this error now though: Our referral program is temporarily unavailable. (After I enter my e-mail address). Ah well, I guess the universe is trying to tell me I don't need more books.

Try opening the home pages of the other countries that are in the promo: NZ AU CA UK.

NZ is the best place to shop because so many books are discountable.

Yes, it is the 7th here today but the 90% promotion is still showing on Kobo NZ's home page. The details on it say its valid from March 25 until April 13.

I can't use the refer-a-friend codes. I created a brand new account with an email never on Kobo. It is a discountable book as the codes on the front page work. I cleared cookies/cache, nothing. Did the 90% off close?

The details always said till the 13th. But the codes say the 6th. We questioned the discrepancy earlier.

Something curious may be going on with the US site .... others have commented on the promo not showing as available there at the moment.

The codes are still working in NZ (and no doubt Aus).

On another note:
I just referred two codes (from the NZ site) that were received within minutes.

However those codes are not working on existing accounts. (So, I guess that they'll work on new accounts - but untested ....)

Does Portugal have Gift Cards? How about sending a gift card to your NZ account?

I used a brand new email address to refer 3 previously unreferred friends earlier this morning but none have recieved any emails about it, yet.
I'm not sure if that means its all over or if, in Kobo's typical fashion, they will suddenly turn up eventually.

Something weird is definitely going on.

I've been generating codes to different email addresses in one of the domains I have.

Thirty codes I generated yesterday morning were invalid yesterday night. However, ten codes someone sent me days ago were still good.

I tried to generate some new codes using a valid kobo referring account, and they never got sent (from several countries). However, if I entered a non-kobo referring account, and referred to a domain I hadn't used before, it created the codes, but the codes were invalid.

After all this, I was able to make the purchase using those ten codes I'd received days ago from someone else, even though they were to my standard domain.
