Battery operated tools change every six months. I've gone from 7.2V to 9.6V to 12V to 14.4V and stopped before 18V because those monsters are too heavy for the fine work I make with them. I have about 20 drills and drivers I don't use, many of which have dead batteries that in pair cost more than a new drill. So I dump the drilss and start over! Have you ever tried an impact screwdriver? Those are great! So if I change voltage sets, I need: one impact, two drills, a battery operated nailer and a skilsaw. I just bought a new Makita kit before Christmas. 10.8V Lithium battery kit. They are GREAT!!! ![]() ![]() And the there are sanders, I wear down at least two a year... And then sawblades, specialty tools, carving tools... Oh, and routers! I have 11 in different sizes, power levels, speed and weights. I used to work in a place that had one router for every type of moulding profile. That's a lot!!! And those router bits! I've got at least 300 varying from 12$ to 150$. And it never stops... |

Right now, I'm trying to ignore MR so that I can get all my notes done early so that I can do some writing.
Wait... What? Dang! |

De Wallets ![]() Seriously, I have no brand loyalty to any manufacturer. That's silly. I always go for the best tool for each job. Being a cabinetmaker, I dont need my drills strong enough to be a carroussel! ![]() |

Looking for DixieGal. I want to know the difference between aquamarine (which says it is in the beryl family) and aquamarine quartz (which I presume means quartz with a color of aqua). Aquamarine is the March birthstone, and it usually looks totally clear and uninteresting!!

![]() This is the time of year when I start spending more than 2 minutes in the morning deciding what to wear, because I'm so tired of wearing the same old clothes. But it takes more than that to drag me to the stores. I just want the weather to start being warm enough for me to wear my old spring clothes ![]() Today the weather was really spring-like, even too warm for this time of year probably ![]() |

No but we sometimes work as a team and try to find boulders to roll down.
