it's worrying me that I could forget what I'm doing, when I'm doing it and how I'm doing it when I don't know what it is I'm not doing when I should be doing it !!!!

be there a doctor in the house !!!!??????

Dozens of swallows, both parents and kids, cavorting around the house !! A splendid sight, but one that heralds the end of the Summer ....

Made two startling discoveries this morning while harvesting my tomatoes.

First, one of the plants that I have been lovingly watering for weeks is not, in fact, basil. It's... I have no idea what, possibly one of the weeds I had tried to sow in another pot.

Second, there is a strange growth on one of the tomato leaves. I took a blurry photo on my cell phone before leaving home, but it turns out I don't know how to e-mail myself photos from my brand-new 3G phone

, so I can't show it yet.

Outside:

Cherry tomatoes, Red bell peppers, Basil. Soon a replant of Spinach and Lettuce.

Venus flytraps, Sarracenias, various orchids, Amorphophallus Konjac (several) and many other things.

Inside:

Tropical Sundews, Mexican Butterworts, Nepenthes, African Violets, Streps., a few Echavarias, Snake plant, a schefflera.
