But surely stopping posting isn't enough to guarantee defeat.

If one stops, then one might still win if someone didn't post after you, so surely, to make sure you lose, you must make sure that your post isn't last. Which means you have to keep posting to make sure your post isn't last.

That's my logic, and I'm sticking with it.

But you can't guarantee that. For instance a nasty virus might wipe out your network connectivity, or a lump of cheese marinated in sleeping potion might knock you out. Thereby rendering you unable to complete your task.

But if you stop posting, I can post once more. Then I post again to make sure that I lose. and since I lose you must win.

Right?
