I can deal with the cold. What I don't like dealing with is all the snow that we have been getting!! I get it! We've had a couple of mild winters. But, why does it have to snow again right after I get all the sidewalks, porches, and driveway cleared of snow?!?

Well the weather god(s) hit the rewind button .... again .... gradual warm up over the weekend, in the 60's F on Monday, arctic air mass moving in tonight, 2-3 days below freezing, gradual warm up over the weekend ....

But just for fun - snow Tuesday night/Wednesday - the coast is getting walloped with significant snow & ice accumulation ... we're in the 1-3" accumulation band right now .... everyone will panic tomorrow at the first sign of a snow flake ...

Well ... I'm hunkered down in the roost ... waiting for snow tonight (2 - 4 - 6") ... followed by record breaking cold temps (0 - 5 F) ... followed by a weekend in the 50's F .....

Just glad I'm not in SC tonight - freezing rain!

And by what's outside the house this morning, I'd say we got it. Poor Norton got stuck this morning by Lake Dubyatee, the puddle where our pool used to be. Woke up to find 3 - 4" of snow outside - so I promptly took a 'weather day' and stayed home from work. Temps to reach 30 F or so, and I'm waiting for the sun to melt as much as possible before I go out to clear the cars & driveway. Roads are a mess - solid coating of snow & frozen slush. Tonight's freeze will create deadly driving conditions for tomorrow morning - I'll probably wait until afternoon to drive into work.

IT'S GORGEOUS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sunny! Breezy! Temps in the 60's F! After weeks & weeks of below normal temps!

Went to Duke Gardens this morning - still had ice on the pond & fountains. Probably gone by now!

We'll pay for this next week - temps in the 40's F with rain ... every day ....

So back outside before it goes away!

Temps in the 50s (F) with the sun shining through scattered clouds.

Tomorrow -- 4 to 6 inches of ice, sleet, and snow, with plunging temps. Somebody needs to do something about that groundhog.


(Hmmm -- we have a Duke Gardens just down the road, but they changed their mission a few years ago. They still have Bald Eagles nesting on the estate, though.)
