Even though I delete them after listening, I have so many podcasts now that they're clogging up my hard drive. I need to delete some of the ones I know I'll never listen to.

Just Finished:
- Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain - I enjoyed this one a bit more than Tom Sawyer. It seemed to come together better as a novel, rather than as a series of stories about one character. Currently reading: - 11/22/63 by Stephen King (77%) - The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien (0%) [third time] - A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin (31%) [on hold] - A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin (20%) [on hold] |

On a more brutal note the H series by David c jaundrell was good too(5 BOOKS) note......I devour most anything and enjoy most everything. Just finished (up to book 5) a song of fire and ice by George rr Martin too.

I'm currently reading Destiny by Laura Deluca. A great book if you're interested in witches and those sort of things.
There's a free giveaway going on for it too: http://thecelebritycafe.com/contests/destiny-prize-pack |

Almost through with "Driving over Lemons" by Chris Stewart. The author tells about his life and "adventures" after buying a farm in the Alpujarras in Spain and moving there from England. Written with a fine humor and very entertaining to read.

Anyway, given I only have probably 60 years of living left I decided time is too precious to waste on poor books. So I've started Towers of Midnight. 14th and final book should be out in March, so I'll be all prepared for release day. If I ever clear my TBR list and find absolutely no other book that tickles my fancy I might revisit One Day On Mars, but I highly doubt it. Shame, the story had good potential. |

Currently reading the Fellowship of the Ring, by Tolkien of course. My brother said that it was long and draggy, yet I find that reading it is a much better experience than watching the movies. Though since I found out about the series due to the movies, I still end up using the movie appearances as visual imagery, even though Pippin is actually supposed to be blond.
And wow, the movies turned out to be really different from the books. I'm still a bit shocked. |

Just finished: A Quintet of Dana Stabenow Stories (2 Liam Campbell, 2 Mnemosynea, and a Star Svensdotter)
These were a mixed bag. I really enjoyed both Liam Campbell stories, they filled in ongoing characters and back story. The Star Svensdotter story? OK, not great. And the two Mnemosynea stories show promise should she ever decide to do something with that universe. They're a bit thin at this point (hard to define an entire fantasy environment in a couple of short stories), but it could be worth exploring. Next up: a re-read of Elizabeth Moon's Oath of Fealty, in preparation for the final volume in the series coming out shortly. I'm enjoying another go through this, though it certainly isn't as compelling as the first time. |

Thats just so odd. Swearing from the characters is fine but in the narrative? That just seems inexperienced on the authors side. |
