Then maybe you can't do it without starting with the free trial. My initial signup was for the free trial, which I promptly canceled after getting my free book.

I think I remember Tantor usually having a special promo sometime during June where all downloads were $4.95. Anyone else remember that and/or have any idea if they'll be doing the same this year?

I remember them having an all titles sale like that in the past, but don't remember if they've had it since Recorded Books bought them or not. They have had some that were limited to a specific list of titles from time to time.

I don't know about mid-year but they've had one each of the last 3 years around Black Friday time.

If you have a (mostly) up-to-date Android or iThing you can get it through the app. Just go to the title and click Download. If you have (or have ever had) a trial membership to Audiobooks.com you can get the books added to your account through a web browser. This is the thing that I think keeps Audiobooks.com from being a contender - far from user friendly!

Monkey--have I ever mentioned to you how much I hate the complexity of the coding in your posts? Nothing personal.

The book/Audiobook has great ratings, all the way around, especially on the audio. It's a bestseller in one category at Audible, and may be so in one or more Amazon bookstore or Kindle bookstore categories. It's a definite must-buy for me.

If you're interested in this kind of subject, I think that you would love a Great Courses title, English Grammar Boot Camp. It happens to be on sale right now for $19.95, up to a little less than 18 hours from now. I think that I saw somewhere in a description that it was at its best price of the year.

I don't know about you, but I break out into a cold sweat anytime I see or hear the word "grammar." But this course is actually very interesting. The actual grammar instruction is subdued.

Briefly, I came away with the understanding that nothing about grammar or spelling in the English language (or any other language) is carved in stone. If enough people start to do it, non-standard words and grammar become standard English! The lecturer gives lots of examples. The lecturer is on a committee at American Heritage Dictionary which, each year, comes together and votes on whether or not things that were non-standard English up to that time, should become standard. If they get enough votes in the committee for standardization, the next edition of the dictionary will reflect that!

It runs for about 12 1/2 hours.
