Oh, thanks for the explanation! I am trying to do 5 things at the same time (don't we all) so some things don't catch up quite quickly XD

Did anyone get any good discount codes yet? 90 percent of my codes are 30% and 25%. I got two 35% and two 10% so far.

I'm the one who received PROMOCODE_40 in my email, and it doesn't work for me in the Hong Kong store, where Kobo should know I am registered. The book I tested it on is "coupon eligible". Oh well. Since Kobo's coupons became next to useless a couple months ago, and the few ebooks I wanted are EPUB3 (incompatible with my Sony PRS-650) or KEPUB, I've gone back to buying paper books. When bought from Book Depository or Fishpond (both free worldwide shipping), the prices are nearly identical to Kobo.

Thank you, Kobo, for helping me to see the light and return to real, physical books.

Books where the codes like PROMOCODE_40 won't work may work with the contest codes. Just bought a book like you said is coupon eligible, won't let me apply the PROMOCODE_40, but would let me apply one of the contest codes I have found here.

I am glad that electronic books are available... I work in a university in China where ordering textbooks or books for the library usually take 2 to 3 months becoz the books have to go through censorship.

I would just like to pass on to you the gratitude of the Large Publishers Cartel. If only everyone would follow your example they could put this EBooks nonsense behind them and get back to doing business their way!

I got 2 45 and 1 55 code. 8 35 codes. I've played enough times times to know that I am not gettting close to any of the stated probabilities for the 45% and higher codes (which is too say I am playing way too many times and wasting a lot of time.)

I'm not keeping track of the lower codes, but I feel like 90% of the codes I got were 25%. Hardly any 10% codes

You make it sound like Kobo is the only option for epubs. It is NOT. Just because Sony handed their bookstore over to Kobo does not mean you are limited to Kobo.

Shop around. It's just a few extra clicks.
