Nightscape discussion, if anyone's curious. Still on sale and recommended.
Ex-cop, 'nuff said.

I'm still wondering if those young people in the alley were bystanders who saw him chasing the kid and tried to help.

Exactly! Stephen George was a first time author here and likely wasn't up to it, but Shep could easily be turned into a delusional psychotic just as dangerous as the bad guys.

With his world view, he could shoot anyone and justify it by saying they were bad guys.

At any rate, I'm really enjoying the book. I'm on chapter twenty-two. I like that the book doesn't follow any of the usual horror patterns. Each twist and turn feels fresh to me.

Leviathan: Ghost Rig by Lucas Pederson
Amazon US $0.99

Quote:
Bracken, a down on his luck oil man is offered a chance of redemption when a billionaire offers him a job to repair a ghost oil rig in the South Pacific Ocean. The payment is enough to retire him and his small crew.

But when they arrive on ghost rig Sera, Bracken soon discovers they're not alone. Something very large circles under the water around the rig. Something that shouldn't exist, but does. A thing of nightmares. And it's hungry...

Leviathan looks interesting, just picked up

Not an e-book sale, but Flame Tree Press is doing a massive paperback sale today on many books. I picked up some, if you spend 20 it's free shipping. Authors were promoting it on Twitter so thankfully I noticed. All paperbacks on sale are 4.00, which is cheaper than their usual e-books (they are a small press that I enjoy)

Thanks for that. I actually had the book on my wishlist waiting for a price drop. I wish Amazon would notify you of sales.

Nice! I ordered 6. I enjoy some of the authors, and try to support Flame Tree in general.

So I went to town on this offer. I pity the delivery person. Many thanks from me and probably curses from the delivery guy.

Re: Flame Tree Press [see previous details above].

While the Flame Tree Press HARDBACKS offer an incredible deal, the cost for shipping to this country [in my case, Peru] would be outrageous. Although I have a home address in the U.S.A., I would have to wait until Christmas - most likely - before I would be able to pick them up and bring them back here, keeping in mind that if my luggage goes over a certain weight limit for an international flight then I would have an additional expense. I collect hardbacks, and it's extremely frustrating for me while currently living in this country.

So............I would have to go with the ebooks, priced at Amazon [U.S.A.].

Further research reveals that Flame Tree Press have their ebooks listed under 'Fiction Without Frontiers (58 books)'. The cost for each ebook appears to be $6.99. The current pound-to-dollar conversion vs. the hardback is this: Hardback: 5.00 pounds = $6.24 and free shippiing |||||||| ebook: $6.99 + tax.

Here's the link that lists all of those ebooks:

Those Flame Tree Press/Fiction Without Frontiers ebooks go on sale fairly often. For $0.99 I believe. I've bought a number of them and have shared them here.

In checking, I find that I have a few Jonathan Janz titles.

Unfortunately, I have yet to read a single one of them. (What one title can/would you recommend?)

I'm in the same boat as you

Aside from Janz, from Flame Tree I've also picked up Hunter Shea, Ramsey Campbell, Catherine Cavendish, Frazer Lee, Brian Kirk and John Everson
