The Ballad of Jack Bastard...written by a member of a motorcycle forum I frequent. I actually enjoyed it....a lot.

Reading

I am currently reading Red by Ted Dekker. When I finish that one I will be reading White by Ted Dekker and whatever the book club chooses. I have been known to read three or four books at one time. My husband thinks I am crazy and can't believe that I can keep them apart. I just love to read!

Welcome to MobileRead uberzete .

What did you think of 'Scanner'? - PKD is one of those authors I keep meaning to get round to; but somehow never have.

Read the third of the Millenium trilogy by Steig Larsson, I think the third is not published in english yet so I don't know the title, I read it in portuguese. The whole trilogy is quite good with very interesting characters.

Read it in pbook, and since it's a quite large book my wrists missed my reader terribly...

I'll just throw in my thoughts (when do I ever not, right. )

One of the first ebooks I picked up was short story collection - "The Best of Phillip K Dick" and I read a dozen or so stories before abandoning it. It just seemed too forced and a bit too much beating the reader over the head with a particular idea behind the story. It just didn't do much for me, in the same way Terry Pratchet doesn't do much for me. Of course your mileage may vary.

The third has been released in English and is called The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets' Nest. It may not have been released in all parts of the world yet (e.g. USA?).

Cheers,
Marc

You're right! I'd already heard it somewhere but I think is not available everywhere as ebook...
The translations don't have equivalent titles everywhere so is hard to remember...

Currently reading a deadtree-book (Hyddenworld - Spring by William Horwood). My next one is a deadtree-book as well (Orbus by Neal Asher). Then I'll be reading my first e-books of 2010:

Nights of Villjamur and its sequel City of Ruins by Mark Charan Newton. Very promising reads...
