You are right, there are 2 brothers, Nord and Sued (North and South). And it is Sued who runs the "high end chain". But in Germany they split up the market and both use the same bare bones business model. Just shows you how differently they see the American market, that they should use exactly the opposite strategy.

Well, the American market is fairly suturated on the other end so it makes sense.

And althought the business model is similar in Germany, they are still fairly different (I love the photobook creation from Aldi Sued)
