Just pre-ordered my red cover for my reader! WOOHOO! I'm stoked. They have a lot more accessories up now at sonystyle for the 600.

I broke down and ordered a red 600, too. (If they'd announced the Daily Edition in red, I might have been able to wait. That red is drool-worthy).

I ordered the silver one, I know that red is what I really like, but some hot chicks might think that is not manly enough to have a red reader.

From the looks of it, I'll only have the choice between a black and silver one... And they haven't updated their entire site yet (there is now an ebook reader section on the front page, but not on the store front page

No they won't. They'll envy you instead. I think you are more worried that your men friends will think it un-manly

Bright red is certainly not a feminine colour - I feel a bit sorry for you that that should restrict you - thank gods I am a woman and don't need to worry about such things

Are you aware that RED is the colour of Thor and Mars/Ares - both mighty, very manly, warrior gods?

Red used to be a colour signifying masculine aggression, anger and war, while blue was/is related to much more feminine feelings and expressions - e.g. the blue of the virgin Mary.

I was wondering, has anyone compared the 600 to a Cybook? Specifically I am wondering how the screen contrast and glare compares. What about build quality? Does it seem sturdier than the Cybook? I currently have a Cybook and I am pretty happy with it, but a few weeks ago I started having problems with the screen. I am reluctant to by from Bookeen again and was thinking about the PRS-600.

Thank you Ea, good to know a very nice gal, esp. very knowledgeable about RED will come to my defense about my RED covered 600, and she is a hot Danish blonde with blue eyes (I am sure you are, but just tell the guys who attemp to taunt at me)

And today Mars should rise as big as the Moon around midnight, in Europe- so at least here it's kind of Mars day

(Now I know how I'm going to name my just bought device!)
